We have lost one of our greats – Steve Piche – in a tragic ski accident in Breckenridge, Colorado on February 7th. Steve’s name is synonymous with the Great Texas 300. He was the founder of the event in 2003 and always promoting the event. It was awesome that he and his great friend, Juke Ball, won the event in 2018 so he will forever reside in the F18 Hall of Fame. I first met Steve at the 2015 F18 World Championships in Kiel, Germany. He became a legend at the event by wearing his Texas cowboy hat and boots whenever he was ashore and sometimes on the water, and threw the best party at his seaside residence. Most recently he and Juke competed in the 2019 North Americans in Detroit, Michigan where it was fun to see him again.

Steve will be greatly missed by the class and our deepest condolences to his family and friends on this tragic loss. Smooth sailing forever to our good friend.
