The USF18 Class is now soliciting bids to host the 2021 F18 North American Championships. It is preferred to receive bids from areas other than California since the 2020 Americas will be be held in San Diego. Here is the schedule for bidding:
by May 31, 2019 – Notify the USF18 class president via email of desire to bid. Only information required at this time is venue, hosting club, point of contact for the bid and approximate dates for the event.
by July 31, 2019 – A detailed bid proposal submitted to the class providing details including a budget for the proposed regatta site. You will be provided a template to prepare your bid.
The bids will be discussed at the USF18 Annual General Class (AGM) meeting in Michigan on September 16, 2019. If there is only one acceptable bid, the AGM may make the final decision to award the regatta to the acceptable bidding venue. If there are multiple acceptable bids it will be put to an on-line vote so that more class members can have a voice in the final decision with the vote completed no later than October 31, 2019.
