The pretty good whether conditions on Day 3 (at least in some parts of the Balaton lake…) did permitted the Race Officer to complete the qualification series, allowing the organisers to start the final phase of the 2011 F18 Worlds by tomorrow Thursday 7th July.
Provisional results after 6 races are very close to the ones published in the morning after 4 races being sailed, NED3 Koning-Visser (16 points) being still ahead of NED007 Heemskerk-Tentij (18 points) and AUS888 Bundock-Van Leeuwen (19 points).

It is a second start for the Championship, when the Gold fleet will know gather the top 50 teams, focusing attention on the leaders, those being likely to be contested by young emerging talents such as Vaireaux-Petit (rank 4, FRA), Bissaro-Cesari (rank 6, ITA, 2010 Youth F18 Champions), Le Clainche-Joubert (rank 9, FRA) or Hainneville-Fanouillère (rank 13, FRA).

It is interesting to notice the mere 11 points difference between rank 4 and rank 12… 2011 edition looks definitely more and more promising, and should keep any spectator eager to know who is daring to get F18 World title.
