Wow, what a beautiful weekend and venue. We had 17 boats at Lake Buchanan with a spectacular weekend of sailing! The A-cats joined us and it was a lot of fun to see those sporty boats fly. I will be
posting scoring tonightand some pics. The wind forecast for Saturday was not looking good, but right on cue the wind filled in and we got 4 races done in light winds and sunny conditions. Sunday the winds blew about 12-18 mph which was perfect catamaran sailing weather and we got in 3 good long races. It was mostly cloudy, but the sun broke out by noon. Bo Kersey and team did a bang up job keeping the races going and getting us in 7 races!

I noted a bunch more parking, new bathroom, new roads had been added and
there was no problem with parking and plenty of camping areas. I got the luxury of staying in one of the cabins this time. It was sweeeet…thanks Chris! The Food hall is such a treat to have a place to sit down and eat out of the elements with a nice kitchen to serve from. I remember the days of setting up tents and bringing porta potties to have a place to eat. There is a smoker and bbq around the side and I hear rumors that brisket may be cooked next year.
